Doug Kirkland founded Commercial Mechanical, Inc. in 1990, as a mechanical contracting business dedicated to customer service and meeting customer needs and expectations. The total sales volume for the first year in business, 1990, was slightly over 1 million dollars with 15 employees. Commercial Mechanical, Inc. completed over 11 million in sales last year and employs over 70 skilled and dedicated workers.

The company currently performs plumbing, piping, heating, ventilation, air-conditioning, sheet metal fabrication and service for commercial, institutional and industrial projects within the state of Kansas. The company not only conducts mechanical work for plan & specification projects but also performs single source design/build projects for clients. Commercial Mechanical, Inc. has successfully completed the mechanical installation for over 80 school/institutional facilities.

The integration of experience and skill with up-to-date tools and technology aid Commercial Mechanical's plumbers, pipefitters, sheetmetal mechanics and technicians in providing the highest quality product at the most competitive price. The estimating and project management staff utilizes the best computer technology for bidding, service, scheduling and management. Commercial Mechanical, Inc. is located at 1655 Wabash in Wichita, Kansas, just off Interstate 135. The company has four buildings at this location with a total of 26,500 square foot.

The service and maintenance division provides scheduled maintenance, repair, retrofits, upgrades, system revisions and emergency services all handled by competent staff and trained technicians. Commercial Mechanical, Inc. believes the best way to provide a safe project site and a quality product is through an educated work force.
